A Partnership to Fight Emissions for Aberdeen and BP
Joint Efforts in Partnership by Aberdeen Harbour and BP
In continued efforts to fight pollution, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was recently signed and announced by Aberdeen Harbour and BP as they both will team up to find and develop new ways to help reduce emissions, lower carbon power and research ways to introduce hydrogen for marine fuel to vessels that call at the port.
“Reducing emissions from vessels berthed in the port and providing low carbon power supplies will be critical to achieving a green maritime industry and requires innovative thinking and practices,” stated Bob Sanguinetti, chief executive of Aberdeen Harbour Board.
