17 Rescued After Ships Collide in Vietnam
All Rescued No Injuries Amid Vietnam Ship Collision
Although appears as an accident, an investigation is occurring into what caused two ships to collide near a Covid-19 checkpoint around the coast of Vung Tau which caused one of the vessels to sink.
On September 14 approximately 2:30am, the My An 1 a Vietnamese ship, was already anchored when the 138-meter Lisa Auerbach on its way to Ho Chi Minh City, crashed into the vessel.
The My An 1 proceeded to sink and a rescue ensued saving all 17 crewmembers and placing them aboard the Lisa Auerbach where there was no damage or injuries.
