Hapag-Lloyd Acquires $55m Container Ship
Nearly Twenty Year Old Vessel to Hapag-Lloyd for $55m
On January 6 Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping sold a nearly twenty year-old vessel for $55 million to Hapag-Lloyd.
The Chesapeake Bay, a 4,253 TEU container ship has been increasing in value as of late according to VesselsValue who recorded the vessel around $9.36 million in January of 2020 and then rose an astonishing 530% when it was then a recorded value of $58 million in October 2021.
