Four Crew Transfer Vessels Ordered by American Offshore
Expecting Expansion American Offshore Services Orders CTV’s
On November 16 it was reported by American Offshore Services (A-O-S) that they’ve recently order four new crew transfer vessels (CTV).
Expecting the offshore wind industry to pick up and take off in the near future, these are the first four Jones Act compliant CTV vessel orders of a forecasted many to be placed.
Blount Boats, the builder of America’s first ever CTV is preparing the newbuilds and expects to deliver them beginning in 2023.
“A hybrid-ready CTV is a fitting addition to the new and growing offshore wind industry in the United States, and we are proud to be a part of it in such a vital way,” stated, Marcia Blount, president of Blount Boats.
