New Deal Agreement for Asia Maritime Pacific and Fleetscape

Six new 35,800 dwt bulkers have been acquired by London-based Fleetscape with a deal made from Hong Kong-based Asia Maritime Pacific (AMP).

The vessels are expected to be leased back to AMP on a five-year charter in what is said to be Fleetscape’s first agreement of this kind with AMP.

The managing director and co-portfolio manager at Oaktree Capital, said: “Fleetscape are excited to finance the acquisition of a fleet of handysize vessels with AMP. The company has a large fleet, proven track record and a strong regional presence which fits well within Fleetscape’s strategy.”
