Russia’s “Answer” Successfully Strikes Target in Ocean
The Russian Defense Ministry announced on December 12 they launched their first cruise missile “Answer” from the frigate warship Marshal Shaposhnikov which is to seek out submarines in the waters and strike.
The test was successful as Answer successfully struck its underwater target located in the Japan Sea.
“This is the first Russian cruise missile that “sheds” during flight and dives into the water in search of submarines,” says Viktor Murahovsky, editor-in-chief of Homeland Arsenal magazine.
Plans have yet to be revealed by the Russian Defense Ministry as to how they plan to integrate this type of arsenal.
