New Warning from Brazilian Health Agency to Avoid Cruise Ships
Covid-19 Outbreaks on Cruise Ships Cause Brazilian Health Agency to Issue Warning
On January 2, the Brazilian health agency Anvisa has come out to advise its citizens to take caution on booking cruise ships that are operating on the Brazilian coast.
Positive cases of Covid-19 are continuing to affect crew members and passengers on these ships.
A statement released by Anvisa said, “In view of recent events, Anvisa does not recommend the embarkation of passengers who have trips scheduled on cruise ships for the next few days.”
Currently, Anvisa is monitoring five liners that have been operating on the coast that have either been banned from boarding passengers or have had passengers disembark to suspend its service.
