Austral USA Awarded a $144m Contract by US Navy
$144m Contract Awarded to Austral USA
A $144m contract was awarded to Austral USA by the US Navy to design and build two Towing, Salvage, and Rescue Ships (T-ATS) following a $3.6m award just granted in June.
T-ATS is to enhance US fleet operations by administering ocean-going tug, salvage and rescue duties and even ongoing missions like humanitarian efforts and search and surveillance.
Austal USA is continuing to look for ways to enhance its capabilities in steel shipbuilding programs.
