Gdansk Port plans a new Black Sea route
A new Black Sea route is being opened between Poland and Ukraine.
Seatrade Maritime News reports about a novel ‘Black Sea to the Baltic’ route which is being established between Poland and Ukraine.
This will be a direct trade corridor between the biggest ports of these countries, viz. Gdansk and Odessa, respectively.
Commenting on the development, the President of the Port of Gdansk, Lukasz Greinke, said “We are not only talking about terminals located within the administrative boundaries of Ukrainian ports or the Port of Gdansk, but also land terminals located in the immediate hinterland of the ports and along the route of the Black Sea-Port Gdansk transport corridor.”
Accordingly, a weekly train service between the two ports is also being planned.
