Two CO2 Storage Areas Offered by Norway
On Sept 10 an announcement was made by Norway’s Ministry of Petroleum and Energy to offer up two CO2 storage areas, one in the North Sea, the other in the Barents Sea that are ideal for such purposes.
Applications are currently available and companies are encouraged to submit before the Dec 9 deadline.
Norway’s Minister of Petroleum and Energy stated, “Capture and storage of CO2 is an area in which Norway has a unique opportunity to really make a difference on the way to a global low-emission society.”
