Since commencing production in 2005, Liebherr-MCCtec Rostock has manufactured well over 1,300 maritime cranes for customers all over the world.
So ubiquitous they’ve become synonymous with maritime cranes, Liebherr-MCCtec Rostock has manufactured and delivered its 1,300th maritime crane.
The company’s 1,300th crane left the its Rostock premises for its journey to Tema in Ghana on the heavy-lift vessel BBC-Russia.
This latest delivery marks the eighth mobile harbour-crane delivery the company has made to Tema’s operator, Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority.
“The Rostock international port offers us ideal conditions for shipping the often large-dimensioned equipment. We now load 60-65% of the cranes in fully assembled condition,” said Gregor Levold, General Manager – Shipping and Heavy Lift Handling at Liebherr-MCCtec Rostock.
