Offshore Wind Project for New York Finalized
Offshore Wind Partnership Between NY, Empire Wind and Beacon Wind Finalized
On January 14 it was announced that a partnership for offshore wind projects Empire Wind 2 and Beacon Wind, had been made to include funding for port infrastructure and manufacturing between the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and Empire Wind Offshore LLC and Beacon Wind LLC.
Funding for a wind tower at the Port of Albany and an offshore wind staging facility at the South Brooklyn Marin Terminal is also to be included in the project.
