Two New Bulk Carriers for Beihai Shipbuilding
After purchasing two newcastlemax bulker newbuilds back in May of 2021, China’s Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry (BSIC) has circled back to Chinese Maritime Transport (CMT) in a contract that has awarded them two more newcastlemax newbuilds.
Estimated to deliver in 2024 and costing approximately $63m per vessel, these newbuilds will be equipped of the Tier III emission standard requirements of the IMO and EEDI Phase III.
