ONE Completes 3rd Biofuel Trial

Ocean Network Express (ONE), based in Singapore, has finished a third biofuel trial. The trial took place on the NYK Fuji, a Singapore ship, and lasted 45 days, beginning February 21st.

The biofuel utilized required no engine modifications. According to ONE, the completion of this trial signals a viable possibility for reducing shipping emissions and achieving its goal of net zero emissions by 2050.

ONE said in a statement, “This latest biofuel trial once again proves the potential to expand the use of sustainable biofuel components, and marks yet another step forward for ONE’s sustainability initiatives.”
