Passenger Ship Overturns in China Causing Casualties
Investigations are currently ongoing into the incident where a passenger ship overturned in the southwest of China’s Guizhou Province.
On Saturday September 18th at approximated 4:50pm something occurred to cause the passenger ship to overturn into the Zangke River waters.
What’s unknown is exactly how many passengers were on the ship at the start of the voyage however, the vessel has the capacity to hold 40 people in total.
It was reported that most of the passengers on the boat were students and as of Sunday, approximately 39 passengers were rescued but of those 39, 8 have reportedly died from their injuries. The remaining rescued passengers are being treated for their injuries.
Reports are advising that there are still 5 passengers missing.
