Bollinger Shipyards Prepares for New Class of Submarines
General Dynamics Electric Boat has received an order from Bollinger Shipyards to build a 496-foot by 95-foot Pontoon Launcher that is expected to coincide with a launch and release of a new Columbia-class of nuclear-powered submarines by the U.S. Navy.
Bristol Harbor Group in Rhode Island, Maryland created the design and concept for the Pontoon Launcher which is forecasted to be delivered in 2024.
