Petrobras CEO and Chairman Nominees Selected
New Petrobras CEO Nominee Chosen
The president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, has selected and announced new nominees to lead Petrobras, a state-owned Brazilian oil company.
To fill the role of CEO, Jose Mauro Coelho was selected, and Marcio Andrade Weber was nominated to become Petrobras’ chairman.
Both nominees have extensive experience in the oil industry. Weber has already worked for Petrobras for over 15 years.
The new nominees were selected after the president’s previous choices declined the positions.
Pending an upcoming shareholders meeting, the new nominees will be appointed.
