Huanghai Shipbuilding to build four boxships for Briese Schiffahrts

Huanghai Shipbuilding in China have signed a deal with German line Briese Schiffahrts GmbH to build four 1,800 teu boxships.

The Bureau Veritas-classified vessels will be 172 m in length and have a beam of 28.4 meters. A delivery date for the new ships has not yet been disclosed.

Briese Schiffahrts made its first newbuilding order in April of this year with an order of four 1,900 teu containerships from CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding which are due for delivery in 2023.
