British Pilot Rescued After Military Jet Crashes into Ocean
British F-35 Pilot Ejects from Jet Before Crash
On November 17 routine operations were taking place aboard the HMS Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier which was traveling through Mediterranean waters returning to the UK from the Pacific.
As training operations and other flights were taking place as normal, one British F-35 pilot ejected from his aircraft before it abruptly crashed into the ocean.
The pilot was rescued and retrieval of the wreckage is taking top priority to not fall in Russia’s grasp.
The Military of Defense stated, “A British F-35 pilot from HMS Queen Elizabeth ejected during routine flying operations in the Mediterranean this morning. The pilot has been safely returned to the ship and an investigation has begun, so it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.”
