First Cruise Ship in 18 Months Departs California
After 18 Months Carnival Cruise Ship Departs Long Beach
The Carnival Panorama departed Long Beach Port Saturday, August 21, making it the first cruise ship to leave California after a year and a half in part due to the pandemic.
The Panorama is also the first brand new Carnival ship to depart from Long Beach in 20 years.
The ship will sail to Mexico for a full week voyage with 3,000 guests on board. COVID-19 safety measures limit the ship to 70% capacity.
In able to board, a recent negative COVID-19 test was necessary for all eligible passengers and indoors and other various portions of the ship are requiring masks.
