K Line Successfully Completes a First Ever in History
Historic Carbon Capture at Sea by K Line
For the first time and forever, Kawasaki Kisan Kaisha (K Line) has introduced a revolutionary feat to the shipping industry by successfully completing a carbon capture and storage at sea.
After completing various trial runs aboard a vessel chartered to Tohoko Electric Power, installed with the necessary equipment to do so, Tokyo-based K Line was able to catch and store CO2 with a purity of more than 99.9%.
