Thailand Finds Ghost Cargo Ship Drifting in Gulf of Siam
Half Submerged Ghost Ship Found Drifting by Thailand’s Royal Navy
An abandoned, half sunken cargo ship was found drifting in the Gulf of Siam by the Royal Navy Command in Thailand.
The vessel, with a misspelled Chinese name of FIN SHUL YUEN 2 appeared abandoned with no crew or captain.
The Royal Thai Navy boarded the vessel for inspection and decided to salvage. As the vessel was being towed on January 8 it began to sink off Nakhon Si Thammarat Province near the island of Koh Samui.
A clean up operation has been deployed after an oil leak was suspected.
