Carnival Corporation Continues Efforts to Go Green
Upon releasing their annual sustainability report, Carnival Corporation announced on Sept 13 their 2030 and 2050 goals as they aspire to build zero-emission ships that will globally be operated by their cruise lines.
Continuing the phases in their carbon reduction strategy, the Carnival Corporation has chosen LNG to power 11 next-generation cruise ships by 2025, representing approximately 20% of its overall capacity at that time.
“We are committed to decarbonization and aspire to be carbon neutral by 2050.” stated Arnold W. Donald, President and CEO of Carnival Corp.
