Carnival Magic Assists in Rescue of Stranded Sailor
Cruise Ship Notified USCG of Man Stranded in Sailboat
A ship owned by Carnival Cruise Line, a U.S.-based cruise company, intercepted a distress call in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, April 9th, from a man whose sailboat had stalled approximately 70 miles from Port Canaveral, located in Orlando, Florida, United States.
Crewmembers aboard the Carnival Magic contacted the United States Coast Guard (USCG), resulting in the man’s safe rescue by a USCG helicopter.
