CDC Pauses to Investigate Rise in Cruise Ships with Covid-19
More than 70 Cruise Ships Announce Positive Cases of Covid-19
On December 27 the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that it was going to investigate the surge in positive Covid-19 cases aboard cruise ships. The following day, a US official called for all cruises to be halted calling them “petri dishes of COVID infection.”
As of current, there have been reports of upwards of 70+ cruise ships with positive Covid-19 cases announced causing major cause for concern for the cruise industry even though most if not all cruise lines are requiring passengers beyond the eligible age limit to be fully vaccinated before boarding.
