Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas conducts first sea trials in the Bay of Biscay.
The world’s largest cruise liner, Royal Caribbean’s 236,857 gross ton, Wonder of the Seas, is being put through her sea trials in the Bay of Biscay.
The enormous vessel is the fifth in the Oasis class, but due to modifications she is approximately four percent larger than her sister ships at 1,188 feet in length with a 216 foot beam. She has a maximum passenger capacity of 6,988 and a crew of 2,300.
Wonder of the Seas departed Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France on August 20 for four days of propulsion and navigation trials. Final sea trials will be conducted in early 2022, with her maiden voyage scheduled for March 26th 2022.
