Ningbo-Zhousan fully open for business again
Key terminal at major Chinese port re-opens two weeks after single Covid case shut down operations.
The Meishan terminal at Ningbo-Zhousan port in China has re-opened two weeks after Covid-19 was detected in a single port worker.
Officials at the port claim they were able to maintain operations at 90% during the last fortnight, but even a small reduction in capacity is likely to impact supply chains over the coming weeks.
Just south of Shanghai, Ningbo-Zhousan is the world’s largest port in terms of tonnage and and the third largest in the number of containers handled.
