All Workers Tested for Covid-19 at Port of Tianjin in China
Partial Lockdown Imposed Amid Covid-19 Outbreak at Chinese Port
The Port of Tianjin which handled 18.53 million TEU in 2020 and is one the world’s top ten busiest container ports has just been put on partial lockdown amid growing Covid-19 outbreak concerns.
There was a mass testing imposed on the 14 million residents of Tianjin, China and Tianjin Port Group has had all of their employees tested for the virus collecting an estimated 11,000 samples after positive cases were reported on January 9.
For now, there are no reported delays related to the partial lockdown at the port and residents in the nearby city are being asked not to leave their homes.
