China is Number 1 in the World for LNG Imports

For the past eight months data shows that China has offloaded 51.898m tonnes of LNG in totality and in the month of August alone, China purchased approximately 6.65m tonnes of LNG.

The data now puts China as the leader as the worlds largest importer of LNG.

ICIS LNG Edge stated,“Strong economic performance, supportive government regulation and investment in LNG and gas infrastructure have led to an extended period of growth for China’s LNG demand.”
