Mystery packages found on UK south coast
A large number of packages containing what is suspected to be Class A drugs have been recovered from the sea in East Sussex.
British authorities say they have recovered a “large number” of packages floating in the sea off St. Leonards beach in East Sussex.
Further packages have been found along the coast at Newhaven, reports the BBC.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “In liaison with the coastguard, and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, the packages were recovered and will be tested to determine what they are.
“They are suspected to be Class A drugs and have been taken to an undisclosed secure location.”
