46 Vessels Added to CMA CGM Fleet
CMA CGM Adds 46 Vessels
In an effort to expedite decarbonization efforts, CMA CGM has added to its fleet this year, 14 brand new vessels and 32 second-hand vessels.
Five LNG-fueled containerships were built in China with the final vessel being completed and delivered in June 2021. The French liner is planning to position all of those vessels between Northern Europe and Asia.
The company is setting itself on a path to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 by using liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a maritime fuel.
