Worker Crushed to Death by Falling Container
Container Falls Resulting in One Death in Singapore
A man has been arrested for the cause of death of another worker in what authorities are calling a rash act.
On October 1st, at approximately 9am police received a call of an incident that took place at Pioneer in Singapore.
From what officials have reviewed, it appears a container was being unloaded using a vehicle that specializes in transporting shipping containers when the container fell onto a 49 year old worker who was ultimately crushed by the 20-ft container.
When Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) paramedics arrived on the scene, the individual was pronounced deceased.
At this time, all loading and unloading and the use of loading and unloading vehicles has been halted while the investigation continues.
