Southern California Ports Delay New Container Fees
New Container Fees Delayed for Port of Los Angeles and Long Beach
After announcing the implementation of new container dwell fees to begin at the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach which would have consisted of allowing empty containers to stay at the port a minimum of 9 days before fines were to begin accruing, the ports have decided to delay.
A decline in cargo at the docks due to the holidays slowed progress, however the data will continue to be monitored and reassessed by January 10 for another update to be made.
