Maersk to Help India Receive Covid-19 Supplies for $1USD Per Container
India is suffering major shortages of Covid-19 supplies and Maersk has joined in with a massive discount to help the fight.
Charging only US$1 for each 40’ container to be sent to India, Maersk containers are being filled with supplies, oxygen equipment, PPE, and many other medical supplies for the healthcare facilities who have run short.
Vessels are already scheduled with the first to arrive in India on November 7.
Dr. Ashutosh Pathak, founder of Princeton Foundation for Peace & Learning stated, “We thank Maersk and the Government of India profusely for enabling us to establish this streamlined pro bono international shipment and waiver of integrated Goods & Service Tax (iGST).”
