Covid-19 Outbreak on MSC Containership

Covid-19 Outbreak Causes Containership to Quarantine
On September 21 it was reported that the MSC Lauren, a 12,500TEU Panama-flagged containership arriving from Peru contained a Covid-19 outbreak which has resulted in the vessel being quarantined in the waters off the Chile coast after one seafarer aboard the ship tested positive.
The ship is now currently under a 15-day quarantine.
All customers who had cargo aboard the vessel have been informed that their cargo will not be offloaded until the quarantine has completed.
