Maersk Drilling secures one-well extension with Total in Suriname
Additional appraisal well added to semisub Maersk Developer’s work scope.
Maersk Drilling announced that Total E&P Suriname has exercised an option to add an additional appraisal-well in Suriname’s Block 58 to the work scope of the 2009-built semisub rig, Maersk Developer.
Work on the contract extension is expected to commence at the end of May 2021 and will have an estimated extension of 100 days.
It is a direct continuation of the rig’s previously agreed work scope.
The value of the contract extension is approximately $20m and includes integrated services.
