Two Executives Handed Down Corruption Charges in Singapore
Two executive men, a bunker trader of Singapore-based, KPI Bridge Oil and a Director of Straits Bunkering Pte Ltd. are facing fines and even prison time for their involvement in bribery corruption which Singapore holds a zero tolerance policy.
After thorough investigation, Singapores Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau stated that the two men were rewarding each other handsomely with bribe money to help aid in bunker fuel buys, trading and other back door deals on multiple occasions between 2017 and 2018.
Payments to each other and even other individuals in the amounts of approximately $191,250 USD, $161,800 USD, $90,000 SGD and $5,000 SGD over the one year time span were to have been reported.
Both men face a total of 12 charges collectively, fines of approximately SGD $100,000 and five years in prison for each charge related to the corruption.
