All Seafarers Offered Covid-19 Vaccines in Panama

The Panama Maritime Authority and the Ministry of Health are now offering the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccination to all seafarers who are on Panama-flagged vessels.

There are an estimated 300,000 AstraZeneca doses at the ready for any seafarer who would like to receive it.

The head of the Panama Maritime Authority Department of Seafarers said, “The ships are important, but the seafarers are even more important because without them the ships will not move, and we are very happy to be able to provide vaccines for the “key workers” of the Panamanian fleet.”
