Singapore’s Minister of Transport told reporters on Monday that 13,000 maritime and 20,000 aviation workers will receive the Covid-19 vaccine, reports Channel News Asia.
The Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) said: “Harbourcraft and ocean-going crew who are Singaporeans and long-term residents living in the community are also prioritised for vaccination.”
It added that last week about 27,000 shore-based personnel were tested for Covid between 2nd and 8th January, with only one positive result. Port workers, harbour pilots and marine surveyors will all be offered the jab, as will aviation workers; part of Singapore’s Sea-Air Vaccination Exercise (SAVE).
