International Seafarers to Receive Covid-19 Vaccination in Denmark

Opportunity to Vaccinate in Denmark Provided to Seafarers
Adding to the list of governments offering to administer Covid-19 vaccinations for international seafarers is the Danish government.
When international seafarers pull into ports in the country, provided by a private company, they will have the opportunity to get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine as you only need one dose for inoculation.
The Danish shipping industry welcomes this opening and see’s it as a very positive opportunity to help international seafarers.
The CEO of Torm and the chairman of Danish shipping stated, “Vaccination against Covid-19 is often their ticket to being able to board and get off their ships when they travel around the world. At the same time, a number of seafarers from, for example, the Philippines and India, have not had the same access to vaccinations in their home countries, and in this area, we, as a maritime nation, have the opportunity to lend a hand.”
