Following FDA Approval Pentagon to Make Pfizer Mandatory

After the FDA approved the Pfizer Inc/BioNTech SE COVID-19 vaccine on August 23, the Pentagon is prepared to publish updated recommendations requiring all US service personnel to be vaccinated. 

The vaccine received full FDA approval on Monday, becoming the first to do so as US health officials battle vaccine doubters. 

The Pentagon stated this month it would ask President Joe Biden for permission to require 1.3 million military soldiers to obtain COVID-19 shots by mid-September.
