Taiwan Enters Submission to Join CPTPP
Taiwan Submits to Trans-Pacific Free Trade Area
After unofficially negotiating with various Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) countries related to the group, Taiwan announced that on September 22 it has officially applied to join the organization.
In an effort to curb China’s influence in the region of the Trans-Pacific, the CPTPP was created in 2018 includes a total of eleven countries like New Zealand, Japan, Australia and Canada just to name a few.
Taiwan is actively continuing their campaign to expand into global institutions.
