Ferry cruise operator Stena Line has announced that it will re-start cruises to Kiel from Gothenburg, but all passengers must be fully vaccinated and can’t go ashore in Germany when the ship docks.

Stena Line’s popular Gothenburg to Kiel route is to re-start, but with some caveats: all passengers must be fully vaccinated or show a negative test result within 72 hours of sailing, and when they get to Germany they have to stay aboard ship.

Carl Mårtensson, Press Officer for Stena Line said: “We know there is a lot of interest to travel and we want to give our customers the chance to get out on the water, to eat and drink well, and to shop in our discounted onboard shops…”.

The Kiel cruises will start from Gothenburg with two nights onboard, with a whole day alongside. Foot, car and bus passengers will be able make use of the reduced-passenger services and full Covid-19 biosecurity measures have been implemented. Cruises will leave Sweden on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
