Building Begins for Princess Cruises new LNG Ships
Princess Cruise Makes Progress with LNG Fueled Ships
Princess Cruises is ready to join the liquified natural gas (LNG) movement and Fincantieri, an Italian shipbuilder has now officially began production on its first vessel.
Disclosing a deal that was made back in 2019, Fincantieri will produce two LNG powered cruise vessels weighing 175,000 gross tons for Princess Cruises. These vessels will now be the largest eco-friendly ships that will be built in Italy to date.
Able to hold 4,300 passengers, both of these vessels will be dual-fuel powered with LNG being the primary source.
