MSC takes delivery of largest cruise liner ever built in Italy
MSC Seashore to join MSC’s cruise fleet after delivery ceremony at Fincantieri’s yard.
MSC Cruises has taken delivery of the largest cruise liner ever built at an Italian yard. The giant liner is a stretched version of MSC’s Seaside and Seaview, and was built by Fincantieri.
The Seashore is conventionally-powered and scrubber equipped. She features an SCR system to reduce NOx emissions and an exhaust scrubber to reduce SOx emissions.
The latest addition to the MSC fleet will begin service in the Mediterranean and will call at Genoa, Naples, Pompeii, Meissina, Valletta, Barcelona and Marseille.
“MSC Seashore is the fourth cruise ship that we have delivered in Italy during this still extremely demanding year, demonstrating the effectiveness of our production and management system.
“All these milestones, and others to come, have been successfully achieved and this is never taken for granted,” said Fincantieri CEO Giuseppe Bono.”
