Video: Port of London to receive visit from Cemex Go Innovation

After the successful completion of her sea trials, the Damen-built CEMEX Go Innovation is due to arrive in the UK.

Dutch shipbuilders, Damen, have announced that their new marine aggregate dredger, CEMEX Go Innovation has successfully completed her sea trials and is en route to the Port of London, where she will call at CEMEX yards along the Thames, including Northfleet. The vessel was built at Damens’ shipyard in Romania and will be a regular visitor to UK waters.

CEMEX Go Innovation is Damen’s first Marine Aggregate Dredger (MAD 3500) and her keel was laid in Mangalia in 2018. She floated out in 2019 and is now in Amsterdam for final fit-out and preparation for service.

The MAD 3500 details are: 4975 GT, 6850 DWT, LOA 98 metres. For propulsion, she is fitted with two Wärtsilä 26 main engines with two variable-pitch propellers and a bow thruster with an output of 700kW. She has accommodation for 14 crew.
