$6.75B Added to Spending for Japans Military Defense Build Up
Japan Increases Military Funding Due to China Worries
On November 26 a supplementary budget announcement was released by Prime Minister Fumio Kishida for the approval of an additional $6.75 billion to be added to air and maritime defense for military spending.
The additional 774 billion yen that is still yet to be approved is in defense of China and North Korea which poses such a threat it makes this the biggest supplementary to ever be approved.
Japans Military Defense said, “As the security environment around Japan worsens at unprecedented speed, our urgent task is to accelerate the implementation of various projects.”
