Alaska Port Begins Routine Dredging
Seasonal Dredging Begins at Port of Alaska
Its begun, seasonal dredging at the Port of Alaska located in the United States, began on April 1st, according to the district’s U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The dredging will be completed by a dredge known as the Westport, and is intended to clear sediment that builds up throughout the year and may otherwise cause ships to possibly run aground or be unable to pass through the area.
