Dramatic Footage of MT BW Rhine Ablaze
Burning Singaporean-Flagged Vessel Captured on Video from Neighbouring Ship
Dryad Global has released footage of the stricken MT BW Rhine as it lies at anchor in the Port of Jeddah.
Struck by a waterborne IED in the early hours of 14th, the vessel experienced an explosion and subsequent fire. The Master immediately ceased all discharge operations and turned all hands to fighting the blaze.
Hull damage has been reported and there was some discharge of oil into the surrounding waters. All crew members are accounted for and are unharmed.
