Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) announced today that it will be expanding its ports of call in West Africa. The company’s West Africa Service 3 (WAF3) will now call at Onne, Nigeria. OOCL’s new port rotation will start with Tema and will offer competitive transit times from Asia — cutting a week from the company’s previous product structure.

The new port rotation will be as follows: Shanghai – Ningbo – Xiamen – Shekou- Nansha – Singapore Tema – Lome – Cotonou – Onne – Tema – Colombo – Port Kelang – Singapore – Shanghai.

The current schedule will mean the withdrawal of port calls at Tincan (TICT/ Port and Cargo) from WAF3, but clients will still be able to use the company’s WAF1 service for direct shipments to Tincan (TICT and Apapa).
